Intercollegiate Athletics Film and Video Collection


The Intercollegiate Athletics Film and Video Collection is comprised of selected motion pictures, video productions and television programs received from the Media Relations office of Arizona State University Intercollegiate Athletics, the PAC 10 and the PAC 12. Media is added as permissions are secured, and resources for digitization become available.

ASU Sun Devil Football highlight film for the undefeated 1975 season. Coach Frank Kush and Sun Devil players Freddie Williams, John Jefferson, Dennis Sproul, Danny Kush and Mike Haynes are depicted. The previous year's highlights were used to promote the 1976 football season. ASU finished #2 in the nation and defeated Nebraska in Fiesta Bowl V. Includes highlights from each game and footage of summer football program at Camp Tontozona. Narrated by Jim Creasman, script by Dean Smith. Color motion picture with sound.

Promotional video produced to support Arizona State University's bid to host the 1992 NCAA Division I Golf Championships. Ronald Reagan is depicted in clips from his March 1989 visit to Arizona State University, campus landmarks, and several sports facilities and events are depicted. Provost Richard Peck, Tempe mayor Harry Mitchell, Bob Davies of the Sun Angel Foundation and Karsten Solheim of Ping appear. Golf coach Steve Loy provides a detailed description of ASU's Karsten golf course, and footage from Pope John Paul's visit to Sun Devil Stadium is included.
