Giant taro plant

This is the giant version of the taro plant, one of the major crop plants of Southeast Asia. Taro plants can be grown in either swidden or irrigated fields, as well as in village gardens. Humans can eat the leaf stems once thoroughly cooked, while the leaves are commonly fed to pigs.
