- Woodblock, number 27 of the series “Comical Views of Famous Places in Edo,” which is part of a larger album by Utagawa Hirokage (active 1854-1868) that also contains 33 actor prints. In this scene a flying eagle carries away a hangiri (rice tub) of fried tofu, dropping its contents on two men below while a woman laughs. One of the men’s zōri sandals has broken and is falling off. To the left a sign advertises a sushi and sake restaurant.
