Lawrence J. Fleming Audio and Video Materials

Description A silent motion picture depicting the last run of the Phoenix Street Railway in 1947 plus audio recordings of interviews with several past employees, including motorman Sam Hodges who was employed by the railway in 1913. The interviewer and most interviewees are unidentified.

Note Digitized from a UMATIC videotape copy and audio cassette tapes June 2016 with the generous support of the Luhrs Family Endowment.
Note Audio recordings were amplified using Audacity software in April, 2017 to improve low audio levels. Files marked var were amplified at different levels to improve some especially low level segments within a file, otherwise amplification was applied across the entire file.
